dc.description.abstract | Purpose -- the purpose of this thesis is to study and analyze the value of training and development with regards to the satisfaction and motivation of employees. Furthermore, this thesis tends to shed light on Kettaneh Company and better understand whether the training performed in this company is important and successful in enhancing the employees’ their performance and satisfaction. Design/methodology/approach -- in this thesis, the qualitative and quantitative approaches are used in presenting and analyzing the data. Primary data from a questionnaire and unstructured interviews was collected and analyzed to support the secondary data taken from various established references. Findings -- the findings in this thesis were based on the hypothesis and research questions that studied the value of training and development in enhancing employee motivation and satisfaction. After analyzing the questionnaire distributed to a sample of employees at Kettaneh Company, the research questions were answered and the hypothesis proved valid. Research limitations/implications -- the main research limitations were the lack of time in gathering all relative information that would be helpful to the success of this study. Moreover, there was an abundance of irrelevant data as well as outdated data that did not help in providing correct information, which required thorough research. Practical implications -- this research will be handed to the Human Resource Management Department at Kettaneh Company to assist in evaluating and sustaining employee satisfaction, motivation, productivity and performance. Originality/value: the value of this thesis lies in its contribution in pointing out the importance of training and development on the satisfaction levels of employees and using this information to apply it to Kettaneh Company and point out the management practices that are leading to satisfaction as well as help management practices that are leading to satisfaction as well as help management improve its processes to achieve better efficiency. | en_US |
