The entire world has been dealing with strange events, problems, and situations. Unfortunately, the state of education is quickly impacted by external events. Students tend to take a grade and rarely reflect on their performance. Did I do well? What was the main mistake? Is there anything I need help with? How can I improve that grade next time? That same grade that students get either motivates or demotivates them. If students get the chance to set their own goals based on their weakness, and work on an action plan to reach that goal, their view of the grade changes. They will take a grade as an indicator to help them know how well they have acquired a concept or even reached their goal. Based on that reflection, they will be able to know what the ...

Traditional media are a one-way conversation addressed by a company to consumers or to the public, whereas Social Media allow a real, balanced and unconstrained two-way conversation between the company and the world. This is why it is of no surprise that some believe that using social media in the marketing strategy can be somehow frightening. This is also why marketers, especially in Lebanon are still reluctant to use social media as part of their marketing mix. The purpose of this thesis is to examine how companies in Lebanon use social media as a marketing and branding tool in consumer ...

The progression of cities, as Henri Lefebvre observed, can be studied as the slow spread of its heterotopic peripheries over its dominant space. This margin-to-center motion is usually accompanied by a change of the individual’s mindset, notably affecting their concepts of space, time, and identity. Thus, this thesis will trace how the cybercity—the newest addition to the urban evolution and formerly a heterotopic periphery of human life—has expanded into the dominant space of the physical city, therefore imposing its understanding of spatiality, temporality, and individuality on the contemporary ...

Grade repetition has been a contentious global subject, especially in contemporary times. While the protagonists of the practice espouse its benefits, the opponents claim its attendant demerits, especially psychological ones, far exceeds its merits hence advocate for its total eradication from the school system. Some chief variables like the self-efficacy and the perception of schooling experiences of the grade repeaters seem ignored, in such debate. The purpose of the study was to investigate whether there exists any difference in self-efficacy between grade repeaters and non-repeaters, and ...

Reading is universally considered as a fundamental cognitive process of acquiring information from written text. Since individuals acquire reading skills differently, there is no single way for teaching reading. For many years, the educational system has valued primarily linguistic and mathematical ways of learning and has placed a stronger emphasis on test scores than on the learners themselves. In 1983, Howard Gardner developed the theory of multiple intelligences (MI), focusing on different intelligences in learning. This study is a qualitative action research that aimed at investigating how ...
