One of the most vital rights to the human race is education, especially in a school setting. Disruptive behaviors in the classroom can be an obstacle in front of this right. Moreover, focusing on these behaviors can help the student in question develop many of his cognitive and social-emotional abilities. A technique that proves beneficial in this regard involves giving the child the motivation needed to facilitate his adaptation and development. One effective approach consists in individualizing ...

The process of teaching students has always been dependent on face-to-face instruction in brick and mortar institutions. Students and teachers meet at the same place and at the same time for learning. However, some incidents around the world could make a change in the medium of instruction. Lebanon’s political and economic volatility serves as an example of shifting educational practices as a corollary of myriad national problems affecting education. The massive popular uprising on October 17, 2019, the pandemic COVID-19, and the Beirut port-blast on August 4,2020 have had their toll on ...

Students tend to take a grade and rarely reflect on their performance. Did I do well? What was the main mistake? Is there anything I need help with? How can I improve that grade next time? That same grade that students get either motivates or demotivates them. If students get the chance to set their own goals based on their weakness, and work on an action plan to reach that goal, their view of the grade changes. They will take a grade as an indicator to help them know how well they have acquired a concept or even reached their goal. Based on that reflection, they will be able to know what the ...
