The main factor is pinning down the income of the Lebanese movie is piracy. Investors are not willing to spend their money in a high risk project if piracy is going to continue affecting negatively the revenues of films.the growth of the Lebanese cinema is facing many obstacles. The major one is the difficulty to finance a film because financiers do not consider the Lebanese cinema as an industry with potencial success. For them, investing in a movie is not a thriving business that makes fast profit or even any profit. A lot of Lebanese movies didn't make it "financially". The producers are still ...

The impact of the Russo-Ukrainian War on European security dynamics cannot be underestimated. This research provides an extensive analysis of how this war has affected various aspects across eight chapters. It delves into regional dynamics with a special focus on how countries like those in the Baltic region have responded to changing security threats by prioritizing defense measures and promoting cooperation within their region. Additionally, it considers NATO's role in managing security implications generated by this conflict while emphasizing that achieving credible deterrence without unintended ...

This research paper explores the different methods and means utilized in Russian foreign policy as Moscow, under Vladimir Putin’s leadership, attempts to restore a multipolar international system. Putin’s rise to power has seen a restoration of national Russian identity and a diversified approach to the execution of foreign policy. This study has compiled and analyzed evidence, facts, and documents to portray how the 2014 annexation of Crimea and the 2015 military intervention in Syria are pivotal in the general trend observed in Russian foreign policy under Putin. By applying Neorealist and ...

Infrastructure privatization is initiated through various modes by different countries and can generally include the construction of new privately owned facilities, privatization of existing facilities, concessions or leases, and project financing. B.O.T. [Build-Operate- Transfer] means the government grants investment enterprises an operational concession for a period, permits them to construct and administrate certain public infrastructures by financing, and authorizes them to pay off loans, reclaim investment and make a profit through charging from users or selling products. At the expiration ...

The aim of this study is to explore how Facebook’s platform is used in the grieving practices in Lebanon. In addition, it is supposed to reveal whether or not it soothes the five stages of grief, introduced by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross(1997): 1) Denial, 2) Anger, 3) Bargaining, 4) Depression, and 5) Acceptance, by incorporating the support of others. Results will show if a Lebanese virtual grieving outlet on Facebook is actually present and effective. Using variables such as feelings, the five stages of grief and gratification of human needs, two methods of research were used for this study, qualitative ...

Purpose -- the objective of this thesis is to empirically test the level of interdependence across commodity markets in terms of return volatility spillover, namely, corn, wheat, soybeans and soybeans oil, and to uncover the impact of macroeconomic announcements on the measurement of integration among those commodities. This will help us to investigate the extent to which different agricultural commodities can be considered as an asset class and to determine whether portfolio diversification across different agricultural commodities can still lead to risk reduction benefits, in light of the ...

My dissertation explores the influential power of visual culture in reforming how we aesthetically behave with relation to contemporary television images. This influence depends on psychological and cultural structures that are linked to the television imagery, and more precisely to visually disturbing images. The approach to this question aims at examining a new aesthetic generated by the means of its television persona. I intend to tackle this by, first, drawing on the meaning of the weird and strange imagery that underlies the new aesthetic. Second, to recognize the new aesthetic tangible ...

The origin of mathematical matrices lies with the study of systems of simultaneous linear equations. Today, they are used not simply for solving systems of simultaneous linear equations, but also for describing the quantum mechanics of atomic structure, and even for designing computer game graphics. Matrices are very useful due to the fact that they can be easily manipulated. We use the notation A-1 to denote the inverse of a matrix A. One of the major uses of inverses is to solve a system of linear equations. You can write a system in matrix form as AX=B, then X=A-1B. Inverses are also used in ...

his study compares the performance of six to nine-year old Arabic-English bilingual children from Lebanese private schools to that of their monolingual peers in the English language in the areas of semantic development, awareness of the arbitrary nature of word-referent relationship, divergent thinking, knowledge of grammatical structures, and logical reasoning. The purpose is to find out whether the bilinguals have been positively affected by their bilingualism. The exercises are taken from researchers who conducted their studies after 1960 and believe that bilingualism results in cognitive ...

Among the many schools in Lebanon, there has been a growing trend for some schools to adopt a new type of Baccalaureate in Lebanon-the International Baccalaureate. This phenomena warrants an investigation especially since the educational system in Lebanon already has a Baccalaureate program. Changes have been the password of the healthcare industry for the last three decades.
