This thesis provides an analysis of the effectiveness of economic sanctions in countering the activities of the Lebanese non-state actor, Hizballah. It examines the history of economic sanctions in literature and the theoretical models, and explains how such sanctions have evolved over time, becoming more targeted and prevalent in recent years.
